Spelling of Ak Orda versus Aqorda and Akorda edit

I reverted the move of this article to "Aqorda" because, while recognizing that the Kazakh consonant is generally written with "q", it is the WP:COMMONNAME that we should be using. NB The name in the text was "Akorda" despite the article name being "Ak Orda" - I wouldn't like to say which of them would be most common, but Aqorda seems very uncommon to me. Ak Orda Presidential PalaceAqorda Presidential Palace – In the official website, I see the name without spaces which makes the article name wrong. Not to mention that the name Ақорда is transliterated into Aqorda since its a Kazakh name. Kazakhstan is also switching to Latin script as well so that makes it written with a letter "q". • Support: Support. I still see sources mention the name Aqorda. The rest such as Google Maps location literally uses Wikipedia as source. We shouldn't name things from results that use our naming technique, we need to stick to logical names. Igor1383 (talk) 20:20, 31 May 2018 (UTC)Reply
  • Oppose: It may be the old transliteration, but WP:Commonname should prevail, and '"Ak Orda" palace' outnumbers '"Aqorda" palace' by about 28 to 1 in book mentions, and by 41 to 1 in news mentions (google hit counts). Batternut (talk) 20:32, 31 May 2018 (UTC)Reply
  • Support: Every time I type "Ak Orda" I get results without space in the name. Not to mention that "Aqorda" is literally correct name of "Akorda". Dinked2 (talk) 22:29, 31 May 2018 (UTC)Reply
Some sites/books might mention "Akorda" as well as "Ak Orda", which might suggest using "Akorda", but certainly not "Aqorda". "literally correct" sounds like a WP:RIGHT WRONGS view. Batternut (talk) 22:52, 31 May 2018 (UTC)Reply
