Land area of village edit
I added land area to the infobox. However, according to the source used the land area was over 2,200 square miles. Which seems a little large, so I'll edit it out for now. But it's a good start to an article. — MJCdetroit 01:52, 19 July 2007 (UTC)
- I made a mistake on the stats Canada reference, the population of the entire Central Kootenays is just 1,525.[1] I'll dig around and try to find the population for just the town.CindyBotalk 05:30, 19 July 2007 (UTC)
- Regional district populations are irrelevant to historic towns, and are never particularized enough in census data, at least not in the modern era, to be useful at all. And this is West Kootenays, no matter what the name of the new RD is.....(IMO the government has tried to phase out the term "West Kootenay" because of its association with leftist/eco politics, not that it's changed who lives there....).Skookum1 (talk) 16:18, 14 February 2009 (UTC)
