Do we need two articles?

edit

I'm not sure what we can put in the Smile (band) article that wouldn't also make sense in this article about the album. All the info about background, tour, live shows, singles etc support this album. Popcornfud (talk) 21:49, 20 April 2022 (UTC)Reply

Credits?

edit

We have extensive credits about who played what - but are these actually listed in the album liner notes? I don't see these in the album scans on Discogs. Popcornfud (talk) 07:04, 25 June 2022 (UTC)Reply

I've checked this now and it does indeed credit the individual members, so our personnel section is correct. Popcornfud (talk) 12:39, 27 June 2022 (UTC)Reply

Afrobeats vs Afrobeat

edit

This article seems to be conflating the terms Afrobeat and Afrobeats. The former is a broad genre of pop and/or rock music incorporating West African-developed riffs and rhythms, and the later is a range of 21st century West African pop music. It's as little as one single letter, but it makes all the difference. 129.123.8.87 (talk) 06:24, 10 September 2022 (UTC)Reply

The laundry list of genres is kind of silly, too. I'll try to investigate the genre labels later. Popcornfud (talk) 11:07, 10 September 2022 (UTC)Reply
Oh, I 100% agree; and anyways, many of the genres listed (such as jazz or electro-rock) are already implied in other listed genres. An album being analyzed as combining elements of post-punk, math rock, post-rock, and prog rock is never not going to be considered jazzy. 129.123.8.87 (talk) 06:37, 11 September 2022 (UTC)Reply
