Sarah Ahmad (Urdu: سارہ احمد; born 17 November 1986) is a Pakistani politician and Child Rights Activist who is currently a member in the Provincial Assembly of the Punjab, and Chairperson of the Child Protection & Welfare Bureau Punjab.

Political career edit
Sarah Ahmad took charge as Chairperson of the Child Protection & Welfare Bureau, a department under the Government of Punjab on 8 February 2019.[1]
She represented Pakistan at the United Nations conference on violence against children on 19 September 2023 in New York.[2][3]
She was elected to the Provincial Assembly of the Punjab on reserved seats for women from Punjab in 2024 Pakistani general election.[4][5][6]
Awards edit
Sarah Ahmad's remarkable contributions have garnered International recognition. In 2022, she was honoured with the Global Collaborative Award in Rome, Italy, for her relentless advocacy against child sexual abuse in Pakistan.[7]
In March 2023, Sarah Ahmad was honoured with Pakistan`s Woman of Courage Award by Donald Blome, the United States Ambassador to Pakistan.[8]
Her dedication to child protection was further acknowledged when she received the prestigious Tamgha-e-Imtiaz from the Government of Pakistan on 23 March 2024, presented by the President of Pakistan, in acknowledgment of her outstanding services.[9][10]
