Gautam Rathore is an exceptional employee under Maheshwari Masala company. He is married to Saraswati, his supporting wife that has helped him reach the heights in his career, and father to twin daughters Jhanvi and Yamini. Unbeknownst to the happy family, Rajeshwari Maheshwari and Digvijay Maheshwari’s evil eyes fall on them.

For several generations, the company’s power had stayed with the men of the Maheshwari family. However, in the year 2005, the Board of Directors select Gautam as the Chairman instead of Digvijay. Not only that, but Saraswati is also selected to lead the company as the first female associate. Rajeshwari and Digvijay are furious about this humiliation. Hence, Digvijay plans to get the Rathore family killed through Kamal.

The Rathore family get into a car accident. Gautam dies on the spot, but Saraswati, Jhanvi and Yamini survive. Jhanvi is rescued by a couple, who overhear that the accident was planned. Yamini is rescued by a thief named Mayuri. Few days later, Dayal Singh, the truck driver who hit the car, is arrested. Saraswati is sure that he was paid off by someone to commit the accident. However, Dayal Singh lies and says that he was drunk driving and no one else is at fault.

Jhanvi is now known as Vedika Sharma, while Yamini is known as Koel Rathi. Vedika is a law aspirant while Koel is a hacker, who uses her skills for swindling money. While Vedika knows that she is adopted, Koel thinks Mayuri is her biological mother. On the other hand, Saraswati, who is now married to Kamal, is still waiting for her daughters’ return. Meanwhile Sagar, Digvijay’s son, returns from London and he is expected to inherit the Maheshwari business. However, he is also a law aspirant and wants to make a career in law, not business.

Fate finally crosses Saraswati’s path with her daughters. However, all three are clueless to one another’s identity. In a twist of fate, Vedika faces off against the Maheshwari’s. Digvijay wants to usurp the Sharma family’s land and property to build factories there. Vedika refuses to give in to Digvijay’s demands, so Digvijay humiliates her. Sagar, who despises his father for his attitude and behavior, offers Vedika a job in his law firm.
