Protected edit request on 4 April 2014 edit

There is a typo in the color: #black; rule. The # is erroneous. (It may also need an !important.) Keφr 09:19, 4 April 2014 (UTC)Reply

I corrected such a mistake not a week ago... and now I go and make the same stupid mistake. Thanks! The important is not needed because it has the same specificality. Edokter (talk) — 11:14, 4 April 2014 (UTC)Reply

Remove all overly-specified, element dependencies on ids edit

Coming from https://phabricator.wikimedia.org/T248137, all mentions of div#content can and should be safely replaced by .mw-body. Volker E. (WMF) (talk) 21:30, 24 March 2020 (UTC)Reply

Also note that since T283206 (which in turn is following T279388) a class .vector-body has been implemented.
As of today, the markup is something like the following:
#content.mw-body
    #bodyContent.vector-body
        #mw-content-text.mw-body-content
            .mw-parser-output

This reference page would also need to be updated: mw:Manual:Interface/IDs and classes.
Most notably, it doesn't mention .mw-body. It may also need updates about which selectors should and shouldn't be used.
