Goole and Pocklington (UK Parliament constituency)

Goole and Pocklington is a constituency represented in the House of Commons of the UK Parliament.[1] Further to the completion of the 2023 Periodic Review of Westminster constituencies, it was first contested at the 2024 general election.[2] Its Member of Parliament (MP) is David Davis of the Conservative Party, the former Brexit Secretary.

editThe constituency composed of the following (as they existed on 1 December 2020):
- The District of East Riding of Yorkshire wards of: Dale; Goole North; Goole South; Howden; Howdenshire; Pocklington Provincial; Snaith, Airmyn, Rawcliffe and Marshland; South Hunsley; Wolds Weighton (small part1).[3]

It comprise the following areas:[5]
- Goole and Snaith from the disappearing seat of Brigg and Goole
- Pocklington from the East Yorkshire constituency (to be renamed Bridlington and the Wolds)
- Howden and North Ferriby with rural areas to the north of the Humber in between, from the abolished constituency of Haltemprice and Howden (comprising half of the new seat's electorate)
