Denmark has an X mark for passports, but - as the source says and as is confirmed elsewhere - this is for transsexual people not having obtained a legal gender change yet. Nonbinary people might be able to use the system anyhow with the right strategy (including getting the Rigshospitalet to certify them that thay are transsexual or "completely equivalent"...), but all their other documentation (starting with the ubiquitously used personal identification number) still identifies them as either female or male (also see Legal recognition of non-binary gender#Denmark). I doubt that one can call this "Nonbinary / third gender option available as voluntary opt-in". Sigur (talk) 23:07, 23 December 2018 (UTC)
Portugal edit
The legislation given as source certainly has some great novelties for nonbinary people (non-discrimination clause clearly also applying to nonbinary gender expression, prohibition of sex-reassignment surgery on infants incapable of consenting,...), but there is absolutely no trace of a nonbinary option for the mention of sex in the birth register. I haven't been able to find any trace of that elsewhere either, although if there were such an option, the internet could be expected to be full of news about it (at the very least in Portuguese). Therefore, the conclusion is, that there is no nonbinary/third-gender option in Portugal. Sigur (talk) 23:07, 23 December 2018 (UTC)
