Is it me or is th hi-res version not available? —The preceding unsigned comment was added by 82.13.152.47 (talkcontribs) 15:14, October 19, 2006 (UTC)

The image is so huge your browser is probably refusing to show it. Try right clicking on the images and saving it. You should be able to open it in a good graphics viewer or editor, but your going to need to have lots of RAM and/or disk swap space. Even then it is going to take a while to work with, it is big. Yup..it's it's pretty big... 19,1 MB of download 0.o 81.190.39.7 16:39, 21 October 2006 (UTC)Reply

it still doesn't wanna download even with a download manager like flashget!.

Confirmed: the link to download the high res version is broken. Please fix this.

Confirmed, no it is not broken. Right click and save, don't load directly in your browser. HighInBC (Need help? Ask me) 15:46, 31 October 2006 (UTC)Reply

Perhaps I'm missing something. Right click "save target as" on the hi-res link saves a 0k file.

Hmm your right, it is broken. Must be the caching software screwing up. Should fix itseel fin time. HighInBC (Need help? Ask me) 16:07, 31 October 2006 (UTC)Reply
The commons version of this image works: [1]

its all screwed!!

Works just fine for me. In fact, it'll even load into the browser, provided that you have enough memory and patience, and your browser is configured with a high (read: outrageous) timeout limit (it got cut off right above the Southernmost end of Africa for me).
Anyway, GREAT image. I wonder if anyone's actually brave or stupid enough to use the whole thing as a texture or something to that effect. Sir Link 22:41, 13 December 2006 (UTC)Reply
Most of the trouble people has downloading this file was back when it was picture of the day. I have seen it a couple of times where a large image being picture of the day and the servers get a bit overloaded. HighInBC (Need help? Ask me) 22:43, 13 December 2006 (UTC)Reply

copyright problems hmm!? edit

As far as I know that picture is part of the program EarthView. I think, it's not free for anybody. —The preceding unsigned comment was added by 84.179.26.84 (talk) 22:15, 13 March 2007 (UTC).Reply

http://visibleearth.nasa.gov/useterms.php makes it very clear that the image requires only attribution to NASA. HighInBC(Need help? Ask me) 22:26, 13 March 2007 (UTC)Reply
