The serrated orfices of this example suggest that it functioned more as a torture device than to keep the wearer chaste. zabadoh 11:03, 20 December 2006 (UTC)Reply

Since the serrations point outwards, it seems clear that they are intended to deter "entry" rather than to injure the wearer. —Steven G. Johnson 03:40, 21 December 2006 (UTC)Reply
I would not have said it is clear from the image which way the serrations are intended to point, so it could be assumed to be for either function.--84.9.148.45 20:44, 1 January 2007 (UTC)Reply
You're right that it's hard to tell because of the way the image is cropped, but the orientation of the buckles (which are outside the field of view) you could tell that the serrations pointed outwards. (It was also labelled as a chastity belt.) —Steven G. Johnson 21:58, 1 January 2007 (UTC)Reply
It is a torture device to anyone trying to have anything with the woman wearing that. Although this picture is not very good to show the belt's shape... Maybe I can find a better one. Sekkuar (talk) 02:10, 4 April 2012 (UTC)Reply
