Why use .jpg? :(

photo fails to convey 3 dimensional quality

I saw the real one at a traveling exhibit. if you ever get the chance to see it, by all means do so. I have seen lots of photo reproductions like this one. The thing that you don't get any sense of from the reproductions, but can only get from seeing the painting itself, is how 3 dimensional it is.
