Is this plot adjusted for inflation?

There are a few things that should be noted for this graph: 1. "Federal outlays" = "Federal Government spending" 2. Federal spending is included when calculating GDP — Preceding unsigned comment added by 208.54.32.128 (talk) 22:54, 7 June 2011 (UTC)Reply

i heard that federal spending has had a impact on GDP and made the GDP go higher i dont know if this is true or not. i heard people say if the US lowers its spending that it might slow GDP growth. can someone tell me more about this? i personly think its more important that the US lowers its spending instead of worring about having a slow GDP growth. right now the US buget deficit is about 1.3 trillion dollars thats money being over spend and adding to the national debt each year. some of this money should stop being spent or else the US will default. already the national debt of the US is larger then the GDP. 69.221.168.185 (talk) 07:55, 2 January 2012 (UTC)Reply

units of chart?

edit

It's not clear from the chart whether or not dollars are real dollars or nominal dollars. If they are nominal dollars, this chart should be corrected to use inflation adjusted values. aprock (talk) 20:25, 3 September 2011 (UTC)Reply
