sir Syed Ahmad khan was born in Delhi , India, on October 17,1817. He was a Muslim philosopher ,educator, social activist .he was the only way to enlighten the masses . he founded the Anglo-Mohammedan oriental collage at Aligarh , Uttarpradesh ,india .He was also known as singing bird , after Writing the Tarana "a mera chaman hain mera chaman ".. on the day of Inauguration he said "The school we are opening today will become a grate college in future and achive reawards" ! once in class my history teacher told me this that "when he was collecting donations he went to a dancer and said to the dancer 'if you have some thing to donate for the madarsa(school) give me i will be pleased' she threw her sandel and said i aonly have this... the next day sir Syed came with a slip and said here this is a slip of what you donated! the lady cried a lot and donate all her stuf " all the washroom in AMU are of her money......
