Welcome! I found this image due to the Nevada article mentioning its Basque population. I don't know what makes Basque-Americans gravitate westward more than most other Americans. I believe that it is a fair statement that the Basque self-identification numbers from the Census Bureaus are very conservative for this reason---it's not a commonly-recognized nationality and most have blended away into Hispanic, Spanish, French, and Portuguese communities. I was pleased to see Guy Fieri bring a Basque grill to the camera in Boise.---Heff01 (talk) 07:24, 23 August 2009 (UTC)Reply

Try beating the fish po-boy at this joint in Boise---if only I could remember what it was. I watched it in a motel on vacation. Basques have also contributed greatly to tapas that are increasingly appreciated at bistros. Great restaurant opportunities await Basque enterpreneurs in Philadelphia---a large city that is only beginning to learn that type of cuisine.---Heff01 (talk) 07:42, 23 August 2009 (UTC)Reply
