Specifics of image edit

The image described was replaced 21:22, 27 June 2019 by TedEdwards because the previous and original version uploaded by Sandstein "attempted to make sure no breasts could be seen".

Now, the lack of revision history makes it impossible to verify the magnitude of this issue, but the current version (as downsized by the bot) is very much suffering from the same issue. Remember, the image is shown at Sexposition using the "thumb" parameter. The whole image is kind of golden-y brown, and there is very little contrast to show off body parts, let alone who's actually in the scene. You might be able to discern a probable woman in the foreground and a man in the far background. There is what readers will probably recognize as a thigh, suggesting a third person, but its owner is all but entirely obscured.

It occurs to me that a new upload could be worthwhile here, where light is better used to make it immediately apparent what the situation is even in "working conditions": remember, any uploaded image will first be severely downsized in physical size by a bot (with very unpredictable results), and then displayed at "thumb" size only. Now, before I do this, let me ask the following question:

Do we agree the entire purpose of this image is to show off a clothed male in the background* and (at least) one naked female in the foreground*?

*) obviously which character(s) are where are less important as long as they're both/all in the frame

CapnZapp This was two years, do I can't remember it well, but I think the previous image was, if I remember correctly, silhouettes of the protitutes with Littlefinger (the man) in a gap between the silhouettes. It was impossible to deduce that the silhouettes were two women having sex though.
The image must convey sex and exposition, hence the ideal picture has Littlefinger in the background and the two prostitutes obviously simulating sex. Whether the present image does show clearly simulated sex may be up for debate, but the previous image did not convey this at all. My comment about the old image not including breasts should not be taken to suggest the image must include breasts, but rather if the ideal image (i.e. shows sex and exhibition) happens to show breasts, it should be used as WP:CENSOR makes clear this image is acceptable on Wikipedia, despite some readers potentially being offended by it. Of course, if an ideal image doesn't need to show breasts, then breasts don't need to be visible. --TedEdwards 16:13, 27 October 2021 (UTC)Reply
