I appreciate the photo and your desire to snap a good shot of San Marcos from the freeway overpass. It's an interesting view of the city and I've pondered doing the same.
I think I'll try to take a good photo from a nearby recently built hotel that is 10+ stories high that will produce the same view and try to take a panoramic version because it's hard to get the feel of the view you saw from your car on the overpass without doing a panoramic version.
