it would help this map if it showed the area disputed by north korea. personally i think thos small islands off the coast of north korea are more justify-able in north korea claim. how ever i cant say one way or the other becasue this map does not show the disputed area on it marked so im guessing its the islands that are close to north korea that are north of the armstance line. some one put the disputed area thats located here on this map. so that i along with the rest of the international community can see the full picture of this Naval War.and lets hope that this gets resolved along with a resolvation of the actual war. 99.164.52.125 (talk) 00:25, 17 November 2010 (UTC)Reply

This should include the North Korea claim as shown in article: http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/File:Map_of_the_shelling_of_Yeonpyeong.svg

In fact, that image could just as well be used but it has the battle marker put in. This is important for the Northern Limit Line debate as there are two sides, neither of which I agree or disagree with, to where the line should be.

iv thoughly reviewed your map and these are the two places that north korea should get Baengnyeong island and Daecheong myeon. the rest of the claims by north korea cant be justified such as yeonpyeong as its perfectly lateral with the amstance line if it were exstended into the sea. thanks for the upload. another war went on like this at one time there was china and the soviet union fighting a border war in 1969 and it was not until the past decade that russia ceded a few bits of territory. so we should see south korea cede only baengnyeong island and daecheong myeon in the future and then the matter will be settled. iv noticed that over the past few decades that all border disagreements do get settled eventually. also in this part of the world theres the kuril islands disagreement between russia and japan so japan should get the closest island or two and then in the future all the current border disagreements in east asia will be settled. 69.208.10.149 (talk) 18:40, 28 December 2010 (UTC)Reply
