Recall that historically, federal tax collections are about 20% of GDP, a measure of the size of the economy. If Medicare and Medicaid expenditures grow as projected, they will absorb all federal goverment spending at some point late in this century.


The most important finding of this study is that in 2250 we will be spending 100% of GDP on medical care.Mrdthree (talk) 17:44, 1 December 2009 (UTC)Reply
