Please note that this is not Herb Lubalin’s logo and was never used as such. It was designed and lettered by Alan Peckolick in 1985, four years after Herb Lubalin passed away. It was made for the cover of the monograph on Herb Lubalin that Alan co-authored and also designed. This is the book in question. As such, it does not fall under fair-use since it’s not an image of a company logo. We are the holders of the entire archive of Herb Lubalin and we can provide a low-resolution version of one of his logos for use here.
