Border between "Scotland" and "England"

This map appears to suggest that the Kingdom of England extended to the Forth in (or around) the year 1100. My understanding is that Lothian was a Scottish feudal possession at this time, though there may have been some back-and-forth on that. Linguistically, it may indeed have been English-speaking.
