The comment for this picture says, "The face of a Christian girl was burned during the Orissa communal violence in India." How do you know she's a christian girl? At any rate, it's irrelevant to say christian b/c that is POV-pushing. Just b/c the picture came from aicc doesn't prove without an iota of doubt that she is christian. The source of the image verifies the identity. Whether she is a christian can also be varified by a third party resource. See Reuters enclosure of images. [Reuters story in pictures]. It verifies the community background. I have not taken the image from Reuters as that would be copyright violation. Rather it is from a release by AICC. Thanks for discussion. Yes it is available on the AICC website for usage. See [AICC page] Please advise. —Preceding unsigned comment added by Recordfreenow (talkcontribs) 08:04, 5 September 2008 (UTC)Reply

Well, I had the same question regarding the authenticity of this image and its claims, but that Reuters link solved all issues. I just want to say that being an Indian and a proud Hindu, it is appalling for me to see such consequences of gruesome violence. Thanks for sharing this image. --Enigma Blues (talk) 08:40, 13 September 2008 (UTC)Reply
