In case anyone is wondering why the windows are down on the cars... edit
I've been asked this about twenty times, so...
The windows automatically go down on many cars today when they are submerged (as obvious in the photo).
Not only did the windows go down, but the lights and horn went on blinking and beeping for a good ten minutes before the battery shorted out. Once it did, we could hear the horrible haunting sounds of many distant identical scenarios...
I took the picture after the storm had passed and the waters had receded about a foot.
The weirdest part of all of it is the storm surge happened long after the hurricane had passed us and already hit Naples and gone into Florida.
