Not Flint edit
This is incorrectly labeled as "flint". The material from the Onondaga limestone is in fact regular chert. Many people with little or no background in geology refer to it as "Onondaga flint" but this is NOT flint. Flint is a variety of chert that specifically come from Upper Cretaceous chalk formations. In fact, geologists more often refer to it as "Onondaga chert".
