Unreadable as thumbnail edit

Frankly, the image is unreadable as a thumbnail - which is how it appears in articles - and is hard to read as the full image. Jacob Haller 16:26, 19 October 2007 (UTC)Reply

I understand the thumbnails are difficult to read; that's a lot of info packed into a tiny box. However, the full view is pretty easy to read (aside from the jpg compaction blur). The actual images are about 45x27 inches at 72 psi resolution. I'm happy to make zoomed-in copies of certain regions (eg Near East or Asia, etc.) once I know the maps are close to complete. I've already uploaded a few regional images for various years, only to have to re-do them later on after some corrections.

Grammatical error edit

"Ostrogoth kingdom" Jacob Haller 16:26, 19 October 2007 (UTC)Reply

Jacob, how is this a grammatical error, and how can I correct it? Should it be "Ostrogoths' Kingdom"? Thomas Lessman 19:54, 8 November 2007 (UTC)Reply

Papuans edit

Papuans is spelt incorrectly as Papauns.

The country is Papua New Guinea, so they are Papuans. —Preceding unsigned comment added by 89.243.143.18 (talk) 18:51, 8 November 2007 (UTC)Reply

An honest mistake! I'm sure it's spelled wrong like that on most - if not all - of the maps I've drawn. I'll correct them and upload during the next update cycle (should be in a week or so). Thank you for pointing this out. Thomas Lessman 19:54, 8 November 2007 (UTC)Reply

Hepthalite Borders edit

I got the Hepthalite borders from the first map on its article, as well as information gathered from other sources. Basically the info I used stated that the Sassanids had been defeated and were under Hepthalite domination, and much of northern India was also overrun by Hepthalites (at least until 520 AD.) Are these borders accurate, or is there better information available? -- Thomas Lessman (talk) 19:00, 16 November 2007 (UTC)Reply

Mukriz edit

What are this map's “Mukriz Tribes” in Manchuria? I have never read or heard of them elsewhere. Wikipeditor (talk) 16:31, 25 January 2008 (UTC)Reply

They were on one of the sourcemaps I used, though I don't remember which one. I've been wondering about it for a while because I haven't seen a wikipedia article about them, or any other mention besides that one source. Do you know who else inhabited that area in this time?
