Colors edit

Please make the description match the colors on the map. Alon 68 (talk) 11:26, 11 March 2014 (UTC)Reply

You can select the Crimea?--Inctructor (talk) 11:04, 12 March 2014 (UTC)Reply
I'd rather it was done the other way round – make the map match the description colours. The description says #00FFFF, #006666 and #003333, yet the map is using #57D2D2, #289797 and #1B6565 for some reason (it makes the latter two difficult to discern). And overall, the difference between #00FFFF and #006666 is smaller than between #006666 and #003333; why not use #00FFFF, #009999 and #003333 for best clarity? --GreatEmerald (talk) 18:21, 13 March 2014 (UTC)Reply
And now the cyans are even worse. The countries below Kazakhstan have a totally nondescript colour that is not distinct enough from the two other cyans... --GreatEmerald (talk) 17:43, 15 March 2014 (UTC)Reply

Worthless edit

Some of the colors, such as the purple ones from South Africa or Venezuela, do no have a description, and there are many colors to begin with, this map is utterly useless. 189.192.193.97 (talk) 01:42, 16 March 2014 (UTC)Reply

Return the original colours edit

There is no need to accomodate colour blind people. What the heck is wrong with you people?!?! — Preceding unsigned comment added by 142.244.81.150 (talk) 07:36, 16 March 2014 (UTC)Reply

What is your proposal? Which colors should be changed? Is it that colors #00FFFF (cyan) and #006666 are too similar for colour blind people? Jirka.h23 (talk) 08:05, 16 March 2014 (UTC)Reply

Sakhalin Island edit

Sakhalin Island, or the large island off the coast of Eastern Russia, is shaded with dark brown instead of burgundy as per the rest of Russia. Very subtle but it still an oversight on the part of whoever upgraded the colors from a previous edit; should be fixed. 99.251.99.221 (talk) 08:01, 17 March 2014 (UTC)Reply

India edit

Further India made it clear that it will not support any "unilateral measures" against Russian government. "India has never supported unilateral sanctions against any country. Therefore, we will also not support any unilateral measures by a country or a group of countries against Russia."[1]

Belarus is the wrong color edit

“Crimea isn’t an independent state. It’s part of the Russian territory. One can recognize or not recognize that, it will change nothing,” Lukashenko told journalists in Minsk on Sunday.

“I am asked where my country is in this situation. Taking into account historical processes, in the framework of the CIS, we’re linked with agreements, and we’ll be with [on the side of] the Russian Federation,” the Belarus president added.[2] LokiiT (talk) 01:04, 24 March 2014 (UTC)Reply

Time to color Afghanistan pink, if not purple edit

"As the U.S. military prepares to leave Afghanistan after nearly 13 years of conflict with the Taliban, three visiting U.S. congressmen had to endure a statement from Afghan president Hamid Karzai that was released while they were in Kabul. Citing 'the free will of the Crimean people,' Karzai’s office said, 'We respect the decision the people of Crimea took through a recent referendum that considers Crimea as part of the Russian Federation.'"
