Border States edit

Per this map, the border states of Missouri and Kentucky were part of the confederacy. I would recommend that they be color coded to be questionable. Neither of these states succeeded from the Union and both had sizable supporters on both sides. In each case, local actions evicted pro-southern political leaders from office, prior to any 'vote' by the pro-southern politicians to succeed from the Union. Thus, neither state was 'conquered' by Union forces, as per the rest of the southern states. Possible marking them with strips.

Yes, Virginia succeeded and the time included what later (through conquest) became the pro-Union state of West Virginia. Thus, it's membership in the confederacy is accurate.--Chris Light (talk) 20:39, 3 March 2020 (UTC)Reply

Territories edit

The Arizona Territory is identified as part of the confederacy. Yet, the map only reflects the southern portion of the territory. This can be misleading, inferring that the territory was only this small area, rather than a breakaway portion of the New Mexico Territory (all of what is now Arizona and New Mexico). Based on the Confederacy's claims to the southern region, this area should be marked to reflect this dispute involved. Two existing maps exist as examples;
