More red countries edit

China, Yugoslavia, and Albania need to be some form of red. Cameron Nedland (talk) 05:30, 20 April 2008 (UTC) Venezuela also needs to have some form of red.Reply

  • An Iraq shouldn't. It had pro-communist government only from 1958 to 1963, for five years only.Garret Beaumain (talk) 18:08, 14 November 2008 (UTC)Reply
  • No it shouldn't, Cameron. The Chinese were in the United States' spear of influence in 1980 FAR MORE SO than they were in the USSR's. If anything, they should be a shade of blue. As far as Yugoslavia, they were a founding member of the non-aligned movement and had good relations with western Europe, and Albania had broken off diplomatic relations with the Soviet Union. The objective of the map isn't to illustrate which countries were "commies", it's to illustrate which ones were in the Soviet sphere of influence.

Philippine Communist Guerillas edit

The Philippines had a communist insurgency since 1969. See NPA. http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/New_People%27s_Army —Preceding unsigned comment added by 119.92.179.50 (talk) 05:19, 22 October 2008 (UTC)Reply
