date of building and order of naming may be in error edit

This is probably not the first, but the second Anglican church on the King's Chapel site. The earliest, a 1686 structure, was replaced in 1717 or thereabouts, and the present (Peter Harrison, arch) 1754 building is the third on the site. The info given doesn't say which of the usual panoramic views this is extracted from, but none that I know of (Burgis, Price, Revere, Pownell) predate the second church on the site, and they are usually taken as up-to-date at their own press time, and reasonably accurate as to representing the larger details of the buildings shown.Dellaroux (talk) 14:14, 17 February 2010 (UTC)Reply
