Copyright?

Curious. This page, very reasonably, says that the copyright on this image is time-expired. That is broadly what I would expect.

Britanica online, for their version of the image say "Courtesy of the trustees of the British Museum; photograph, J.R. Freeman & Co. Ltd."

http://www.cartoonstock.com is trying to sell reproduction rights.

Yes....it was published in the US before 1923. Also the British copyright expired in 1984 (70 years after death of Tenniel) Rjensen (talk) 05:27, 25 May 2014 (UTC)Reply
