English: Ysbyty Bryn Beryl Hospital The hospital was originally built in 1924, and extended in 1942 by the Royal Navy to serve its land-based training centre at HMS Glendower SH4236 and SH4336, later to become Butlin's Pwllheli, and now Hafan y Môr holiday camp. Among the more famous of the trainees at HMS Glendower was the present Duke of Edinburgh.
