Description BLAKELY, Penn. (April 2, 2011) Chief Yeoman Carissa Pokorny Golden, left, noncommissioned officer in charge of Navy Operational Support Center (NOSC) Avoca, and Senior Chief Yeoman Joann Barnes, assigned to the Third Navy Expeditionary Logistics Regiment in Ft. Dix, N.J., lay a wreath on the gravesite of Loretta Perfectus Walsh, the first woman enlisted and the first female to reach the rank of chief petty officer in the U.S. Navy.
