Summary

Description
English: This is where the peasant army set up a military camp during the Donghak Peasant Revolution. After the Donghak Peasant Revolution's first uprising, the peasant army occupying Jeonju Castle left Jeonju Castle after signing the Jeonju Gunpowder on May 8. From then on, they returned to various places and began to promote government reform activities centered on the Jipgangso. At this time, Jeon Bong-jun was in charge of the Jeolla Province region. Kim Gae-nam was in charge of the Jeolla Jwa-do region and promoted abolition reform activities while controlling the peasant army. In the Geumgu Wonpyeong area, Kim Deok-myeong, the local lord, announced abolition reform activities led by Kim Deok-myeong. At that time, a man named Dongrok-gae, who lived in Wonpyeong Academy Village and was a former Baekjeong but had become wealthy by accumulating wealth, came to Deok-myeong Kim and dedicated this house to the peasant army, asking him to 'create a world without class discrimination.' The peasant army used this house as a concentration camp for the peasant army to carry out the political reform activities that Dongrokgae, a former Baekjeong, wanted. This building is almost the only remaining building used as a peasant military camp or military camp during the Donghak Peasant Revolution. It has maintained its original form, with only the roof changed from thatch to waga. There is also a record that Jeon Bong-jun stayed here during the Jipgangso rule.
