Another new one for me- I'd thought it was some sort of weird E. multifasciata until I checked and read that a defining difference between Entomobrya species and Willowsia is that Willowsia species have scales while Entomobrya species do not. So W. platani it is, a reasonably common springtail and very tolerant of dry conditions. Though it was probably enjoying the wet log I found it on. I include a close up of the scales in the comments.
