This camel is an example of the wild camel, Camelus ferus - not the domesticated Bactrian Camel, with the typical "low, pointed, cone-shaped humps—usually about half the size of those of the domestic camel in fair condition.” From: "Wild camels of the Gobi." A.G. Bannikov Wildlife 18: p. 398.(1976: 398).
