Description
English: Schematic block diagram of the North Pennine Batholith (aka the Weardale Granite), adapted from Kimbell et al. (2010).

The batholith is composed of four plutons:

A: Weardale Pluton B: Tynehead Pluton C: Scordale Pluton D: Rowlands Gill Pluton E: Cornsay Pluton

Also shown are two exploratory bohreholes, Rookhope (1961) and Eastgate (2004), drilled into the Weardale pluton.
