Description Original caption: "Western Desert, North Africa. c. 1941. A captured German Volkswagen Kubelwagen 'People's Car', WH-816 120, has been put to a new use by the RAF. Already adapated by the enemy for conditions in the desert, the vehicle now serves as private transport for the Senior Air Staff Officer at a bomber wing. In the background is one of the Bristol Blenheim bomber aircraft operated by squadrons in the Wing."
