Description Adriatic Sea - May 3rd, 1999 - Through the "sea haze" high above the Adriatic Sea, the nuclear powered aircraft carrier USS THEODORE ROOSEVELT (CVN 71) launches an F-18 "Hornet" from one of its (forward) bow catapults. Theodore Roosevelt and its embarked Carrier Air Wing (CVW) is currently on a regularly scheduled deployment, and is participating in the NATO-led operation Allied Force over the former Yugoslavia.
