English: Persian Gulf (Feb. 19, 2006) - The amphibious dock landing ship USS Carter Hall (LSD-50) performs a replenishment at sea (RAS) with the British Royal Fleet Auxiliary ship RFA Bayleaf (A 109). Carter Hall is currently on a regularly scheduled deployment conducting maritime security operations (MSO). MSO sets the conditions for security and stability in the maritime environment as well as complement the counter-terrorism and security efforts of regional nations. MSO also deny international terrorists use of the maritime environment as a venue for attack or to transport personnel, weapons or other material.
