English: A U.S. Marine Corps (USMC) Marine assigned to 3/8 Kilo Company, 1st Platoon, 2nd Marine Division, armed with a 5.56mm M16A2 rifle, accompanies a member of the Haitian National Police Special Weapons And Tactics (HNP SWAT) team, armed with a 5.56mm Vektor R4 assault rifle, equipped with folding stock, during the search an apartment complex during a pre-dawn raid. The complex was believed to be the location where Marines had been taking sporadic fire from since they arrived in Port-Au Price, Haiti. USMC Marines with Haitian National Police, who translate and enforce Haitian laws, conduct raids to find weapons and other violations of the law.
