English: Fossil feces from a carnivorous dinosaur - most likely a Tyrannosaurus rex. Discovered in Harding County, South Dakota, USA. This coprolite is 63.5 cm long by 15.25 cm wide (25 inches long by 6 inches long). Scale bar is 15 cm (approximately 6 inches) long. A X-ray fluorescence analysis of this specimen showed the presence of phosphorous and calcium in significant amounts. This coprolite also contains a high percentage of crushed bone inclusions. It is nicknamed “Barnum” after Paleontologist, Barnum Brown, who discovered the first Tyrannosaurs rex.
