English: Tripura Sundari Devi is actually Hindu Goddess Parvati (Wife of Lord Shiva).This is wooden icon preserved in Chhatrabhog village near Sundarbon( village name Krishnachandrapur).Once upon a time the river Ganga used to glide towards Bay of Bengal. From the source of Some ancient book it is revealed that this region was familiar in the name of Ganga Sagar. In Chandimangal Kavya ( Hindu relegious literature ) This place is referred Devi Tripura Composed by Kavikankan Mukundaram Chakraborty.This place is the very ancient. Descendants of mythological kings Yayati , Drajhu set up a kingdom at this area near Kapilmuni's hermitage . The name of the kingdom is called old 'Tribeg'.About 25 kingdom ruled here. King Kalinda and his grandfather Pratadran made a wooden deity of Goddess Tripura Sundari about 2500 years (Approximate).Present king of Tripura state are the descendants of King Drajhu.
