Description

The Moderate Resolution Imaging Spectroradiometer (MODIS) on NASA’s Aqua satellite captured this natural-color image of Tropical Storm Tim on March 11 2013. Interesting Atmospheric Gravity waves can also be seen in the image just north west of the circulation center.

Tim formed as a cluster of thunderstorms March 10 2013, over Northern Australia, which moved westward and organized steadily into Tropical Storm Tim, which peak in intensity on March 14 with a central low pressure of 984hpa.
