Date: Not dated. Location: Suez Canal, Egypt. Description: Built in 1881, the 'Quetta' of 3,481 tons, left Brisbane on 18 February, 1890, bound for London via Torres Strait. The ship was wrecked near Thursday Island on 28 February, 1890 and of 291 people aboard, 133 were drowned. Pictured in Suez Canal. (Description supplied with photograph.)
