English: The Crimean War, 1854 - 1856

The Commander of the British Light Division, Lieutenant General Sir George Brown (1790 - 1865) and his staff. Brown had earlier served in the Peninsula War and was reputed to be a severe disciplinarian. He was wounded at the Battle of Inkerman and subsequently invalided home. Brown served as Commander in Chief, Ireland during 1860 - 1865.

(1790-1865), orderley, Captain William Thomas Markham (1830-1886), Coldstream Guards, Colonel John Studholme Brownrigg (1814–1889).

Note: James Talbot Airey was promoted colonel on 26 December 1859.
