English: Terracotta votive plaque dedicate by Ninion to the two great goddesses of Eleusis. Discovered in the Eleusis sanctuary. Attic work, cca 450 BC. Demeter seated on the“secret cista”, Persephone standing and holing the torches and the torchbearer Iakchos respectively below, receive the procession of initiates, men and women. In the middle of the lower row the wreathed Omphalos and two intersecting bakchoi, symbols of the mystery rites. National Archaeological Museum of Athens.
Čeština: Terakotová votivní deska, kterou Ninión věnoval dvěma velkým eleusinským bohyním. Objeveno ve svatyni Eleusis. Attická práce, cca 450 před. n. l. Démétér sedí na „tajernné cistě“, Persefoné stojí a drží pochodně. Iakchos přijímá průvod zasvěcenců, mužů i žen. Dole je ověnčený omfalos. Národní archeologické museum v Athénách.
