English: Teresa A. Sullivan became the eighth and first female president of U.Va. in 2010. The author or co-author of six books and more than 50 scholarly articles, Sullivan has focused her most recent research on who files for bankruptcy and why. Before coming to U.Va., she served as provost and executive vice president for academic affairs at the University of Michigan. Sullivan was also on the faculty of the University of Texas at Austin and the University of Chicago.
