Description	Tempo Television was a satellite and cable television network that broadcast in the United States from 1986 to 1989. Originally known as Satellite Program Network (SPN), which was founded in 1979, Tempo Television was bought by NBC in May 1988, and relaunched as CNBC in April 1989.
