COOPER CONVERTED THE GRIST MILL ALONG THE BROOK INTO A SAW MILL AND EXPANDED THE CHAIR MAKING BUSINESS WITH AN OFFICE IN NEW YORK CITY. THE BUSINESS STARTED TO DECLINE AFTER 1863 AND ENDED CIRCA 1894. THE HOUSE IS NOW A MUSEUM HOUSE LOCATED IN A CUL DE SAC AT 83 COOPER STREET
