The G-class frigates of the Turkish Navy are equipped with the GENESIS combat management system, SMART-S Mk2 3D radar and Mk. 41 VLS, which has been installed in front of the Mk. 13 GMLS. This image shows the Turkish Navy frigate TCG Goksu (F497) as it steams in the Mediterranean Sea, on August 21, 2023, in formation with USS Gerald R. Ford (CVN-78), TCG Anadolu (L-400), USS Normandy (CG-60), and TCG Gediz (F-495). Forces from the Gerald R. Ford Carrier Strike Group are conducting bilateral training with Turkish Naval and Air Forces in the East Mediterranean Sea to enhance interoperability and promote regional peace and stability.
