Summary

Description Elizabethan (2nd half of 16th century) plasterwork overmantle in hall of Hudscott House, Chittlehampton, Devon. Within a rectangle of decorative strapwork is shown a heraldic escutcheon with arms of Lovering impaling Dodderidge. To either side are two later roundels within wreaths with escutcheons showing arms of Rolle (right) and of Venner(?) (left)
